Reno is a personal assistant you talk to in a messaging app. It reads what you tell it. It can also read your email, calendar, files, issue tracker and wearable data, so it can answer questions and keep track of things on your behalf. This page explains what it collects, where that data goes, and what it will never be used for.
What Reno collects
What you tell it. The messages you send Reno, and anything you create in the app: workspaces, notes, reminders and the records it builds from your conversations.
Your account. A phone number, used to sign you in, and a timezone, used to read “today” and schedule reminders correctly.
Data from services you connect. Nothing is connected by default. When you connect an account on the Sources page, Reno can read the data you granted access to, and write only where you asked it to. You can disconnect any of them at any time.
Google user data
Reno requests the following Google scopes. Each is requested only when you connect that service, and each is used solely to power a feature you can see in the app.

Reno requests read-only access to Google Health. It does not request permission to write, edit or delete health data.
Limited Use. Reno’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: this data is used only to provide and improve features visible to you in Reno; it is never sold, never transferred to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers, and never used for advertising or credit decisions. It is not used to develop or improve generalised AI or machine-learning models. No human reads it except where you explicitly ask us to, where it is necessary for security or to comply with the law.
How AI processing works
Reno uses large language models to understand what you ask and to compose its answers. To do that, the relevant part of your conversation and any data it has just read on your behalf is sent to a model provider to generate a response.
Your data is not used to train models. Requests are routed only to providers certified not to retain or train on the content sent to them. A request no such provider can serve is refused rather than sent to one that would retain it. This is enforced by the routing layer, not by policy alone.
Reno is an assistant, not an authority. It can be wrong, and its answers should not be treated as professional, medical, legal or financial advice. Health data in particular is reported back to you as recorded. Reno does not diagnose.
Storage and security
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database and transmitted over TLS. Access tokens for connected accounts are encrypted before they are written to the database, so a copy of the database is not by itself a set of working credentials.
No system is perfectly secure, and this page does not claim any certification Reno does not hold.
Keeping, exporting and deleting
Reno keeps what you have given it for as long as your account exists, because the point of it is to remember. You can export your data in readable formats, and deleting a workspace deletes it.
Disconnecting a service stops Reno reading from it and removes the stored credential. Disconnecting a Google account here does not revoke Google’s own grant. You can remove Reno entirely from your Google account permissions.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Write to privacy@withreno.com and we will action it.
Children
Reno is not intended for use by anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is used, the date at the top changes and you will be told in the app before it takes effect.
